ENGINE
Currently for houseboats, designed by Milliard, there are scheduled outboard engines with a power starting from 10hp - 60hp, but the engine power, of course, depends on the structure of watercraft pontoons and platform, or in other words, on recreational boat category, according to which the particular houseboat model structure is constructed.
Standard houseboats are constructed so they conform to D category structure, but on request we can offer also construction of C category structure, which allows use of higher power engines and structures, which allow shipping of watercraft in larger waves at higher loads. It is also possible to produce a houseboat with a built-in type boat engine on request.
Desired engine power and equipment shall be known before completion of order, in order to be possible to equip the houseboat with all the necessary technical equipment and communications.
ENGINE CONTROL – STEERING CONSOLE AND DRIVE CONTROL
We install the engine remote control using both systems – rope steering system and hydraulic steering system, which depends on engine power and distance of control console to the engine, and also on the dimensions of watercraft itself.
It is possible to install the steering control console on the roof of the building or under it, as well as indoors, if the displacement of building windows allows sufficient visibility, which is determined by the watercraft building standards.
All communication systems from engine to control console are installed in cable shafts, constructed during the building manufacturing process, which allow you to replace any cable, rope or pipe with another, if such need occurs during exploitation.
Also, knowing the engine power, which is scheduled for the watercraft, it is possible to order the watercraft only and to purchase and install the engine later on the client’s request, or the client may install it on his own.
