FLOATING ELEMENTS – PONTOONS
For our houseboats it is possible to use different types of pontoons or floating elements – basement of the house. We fit the pontoon type and platform structure to every customer’s needs and application. Each pontoon type has its own properties, therefore, they are mostly customized according to the type of houseboat use – to anchor in water reservoir, add to floating docks, to footbridges in boat docks, or to use for rides as a recreational boat.
The main pontoon model, which we advise to use for houseboats, if it is scheduled to register the building as a recreational boat, is catamaran type polyethylene rotation shaping pontoons, which consists of several sections with a section length of 1200 mm. Such type structure allows to use the houseboat as a watercraft, which is easy to manoeuver and safe solution for such type structures.
Structure of separated 1200 mm sections increases a safety, as if there is damaged any of pontoon sections, it doesn’t affect the common floating ability and stability, besides, it is possible to replace the damaged section or to repair the damage.
Each of pontoon sections is filled with high density foam, which ensure additional safety and in the event of damage to external shell it doesn’t change a floating capability. If the houseboat is constructed for provision of a long-term settling, then in these catamaran or catamaran type round pontoons some of the sections may be used as drinking water reservoir and others for sewerage wastewater.
PLASTIC, FILLED PONTOONS
Polyethylene rotation shaping pontoons – various in terms of design, shape and structure. Light and durable pontoons with a good price and quality ratio and excellent control.
Pontoons are filled with Styrofoam and do not change their floating ability in the event of damaged external body, besides pontoons consist of 900-1200 mm sections, which means convenient repairs in the event of damage, as it is possible to replace only the damaged pontoon section. They are suitable for freezing in ice, but are not provided for ice movement in fast rivers.

REINFORCED CONCRETE PONTOONS
Reinforced concrete pontoons are more stable, due to greater self-mass, resistance to salt water and permanence. They are not suitable for houseboat type recreational boat structures, as they can’t be controlled by engine. A building with these concrete pontoons can be moved in water only by pulling with another watercraft.
The floating element of the pontoon construction, similarly like for plastic pontoons, has high density foam polystyrene, which is belted with metal reinforcement and concreted. They are suitable for freezing in ice, but are not provided for ice movement in fast rivers.

ALUMINIUM PONTOONS
Aluminium pontoons are made of light aluminium alloys. Pontoons consist of modules, sections with a length of 800-1500 mm, which provide additional safety in the event of if any of sections is damaged.
Aluminium pontoons are especially suitable for houseboats with higher-power engines and for application in salt water with a higher wave load. They are suitable for watercrafts, which are provided also for C category conformity and certification.
Aluminium pontoons are two to three times more expensive than concrete and polyethylene pontoons.
